Terms of Use

Published:

1. About these terms and acceptance

These Terms of Use describe the conditions for using Bake Craft Journal, an independent baking-knowledge publication. By using the website, you agree to these terms to the extent they form an enforceable agreement under applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the website. Nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. What the website provides

We publish general information about baking methods, ingredients, desserts, bread and kitchen equipment. The current website is a static publication. It does not provide user accounts, paid subscriptions, purchases, game services or an online submission platform.

Articles may include attributed sources, practical examples and AI-generated illustrations. An example or image does not establish a test conducted by Bake Craft Journal, and we do not claim invented professional qualifications or personal product-testing experience.

3. Reader responsibilities and acceptable use

  • Use the website lawfully and respect the rights of other people.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, bypass security measures or disrupt the website or its hosting infrastructure.
  • Do not impersonate Bake Craft Journal, misrepresent affiliation, or remove attribution in a misleading way.
  • Do not republish protected material beyond permission or an applicable legal exception.
  • When contacting us, provide relevant information without abusive, unlawful or unnecessary sensitive material.

Ordinary reading, linking and lawful search-engine indexing are not prohibited merely because they involve access to public pages. Rights to copy or reuse material remain a separate question.

4. Intellectual property and permissions

Rights in the website’s articles, logo, design and other materials remain with their respective rights holders. Third-party names and marks identify their owners and do not imply affiliation. The legal protection of any individual AI-generated image depends on applicable law; these terms do not claim rights that the law does not recognize.

You may read and link to public articles. Any quotation, copying or reuse must be permitted by applicable law or by the relevant rights holder. For permission to reuse Bake Craft Journal material, contact hello@bakecraftjournal.com with the material and intended use. We cannot grant permission for a third party’s work merely because it is cited here.

5. Baking, food-safety and equipment guidance

General explanations cannot account for every recipe, ingredient, allergy, appliance or storage history. Follow relevant product instructions, appropriate food-safety guidance and the method for your particular recipe. Do not use an illustrative image as proof of safe storage, doneness or equipment compatibility.

We aim to provide useful, clear information and may correct or update content. Publication does not guarantee a particular baking result. Please report a factual or safety concern so the passage and sources can be reviewed.

6. External sources and website availability

External websites have their own terms, content and privacy practices. We do not control them, and a citation is not a guarantee that their pages will remain unchanged or available.

Pages may be revised or temporarily unavailable for maintenance, technical problems or security reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted access. These statements do not excuse obligations or responsibilities that applicable law makes mandatory.

7. Responsibility and limitation of liability

You remain responsible for decisions about your own ingredients, equipment and cooking conditions. Bake Craft Journal does not promise a particular outcome or suitability for an undisclosed individual circumstance. Where the law permits, we do not accept responsibility for losses caused solely by your misuse of the website or failure to follow applicable safety or manufacturer instructions.

This is not a blanket exclusion of responsibility for inaccurate information or our own conduct. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any permitted limitation remains subject to applicable reasonableness, fairness and consumer-protection requirements.

8. Accounts, suspension and restricted access

No accounts are currently offered, so account cancellation, renewal and account suspension do not apply. You can stop using the website at any time. If an account feature is introduced, its actual terms must be published before registration is offered.

Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to respond to abuse, unlawful activity or a security threat. Any such action must respect applicable law. This provision does not claim that an account-management system exists.

9. Corrections, complaints and dispute resolution

For a concern about content, privacy, permissions or these terms, contact hello@bakecraftjournal.com. Identify the affected page and explain the issue so we can consider a practical resolution.

Informal contact is encouraged where useful, but it is not a mandatory arbitration process, a waiver of legal rights or a barrier to urgent relief. A privacy concern can also be raised with a competent regulator under the Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. The courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction over disputes concerning these terms, subject to mandatory laws and any non-waivable rights that permit a person to bring proceedings in another competent court.

The choice of Hong Kong law does not remove consumer or privacy protections that apply mandatorily to a particular visitor. No exclusive foreign venue is imposed where it would conflict with those rights.

11. Changes to the terms

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in the website, applicable requirements or editorial practices. The review date will be updated. Material changes should be made clear, and any consent required by law must be obtained rather than assumed.

A revision does not retroactively remove accrued rights or change the handling of an existing dispute where the law does not permit that result. Please review the current terms when a new feature is introduced.
